Tribe selection is made only once at the start of the game. However, this does not mean that you will be bound to a tribe forever. You may have a half-blood child as a result of marriage with a hero who is not of your own kind. If you define the half-blood hero as the successor, after the death of your hero, you can continue your journey as a member of the tribe that your half-blood hero belongs to.
